It is a sad day when you read all the comments made and realize that you were not the only one who knew things at CHHC were not what they seem to be. I was a member of the church for many years,long before the KCenter,before the Cathedral,before the ministry became well-known.My child attended the Acadamy, I was very active at the church and a friend of the family. They say you can\'t see the forest for the trees and I guess that is a true statement. However, I began to notice things that was hard to ignore. Yes it is true that the leadership is very controlling but it is done in such a way as to make you feel that God will bless you for submitting to Spiritual Authority and if you don\'t then you are not in covenant. I have seen people instructed that they could not have children unless Bishop gave permission. Every aspect of your life was to be submitted. Double tithes, bringing gold & silver, etc were just a few ways of making sure you were in covenant. People who think that alot of this is media hype, believe me everything that you read is true. Private information given in counciling sessions were openly discussed during staff meetings. Words of discernment were created.Prophetic words were given and believed. I oftened wondered why God would allow His work to flourish, because this church is a mega influence on the Christian world,with so much sin in the camp.My Bible tells me that His Word will not return void and that He even used a jackass to speak. Could this be what has happened in this situation. It is not our job to judge or even to gossip about what has happened, but to pray for those abused and confused. When the Holy Spirit told me to leave, I didn\'t hesitate, but it was with a sadness for all those who were still blinded.
Who knows what will happen in the future, but everyone involved will have to account to God no matter how slight the involvement.
